About The Role:

Birches Health is seeking a Head of Clinical to join the leadership team. Reporting directly to the CEO, the Head of Clinical will be accountable for the company’s national clinical strategy, care model, and quality outcomes. This leader will be responsible for overseeing clinical operations and driving the development, refinement, and scale of Birches’ care pathways and clinical programs across an integrated clinical model.

The Head of Clinical will also serve as a clinical voice for the organization with payors and partners, help shape the company’s long term clinical roadmap, and ensure high standards of safety, outcomes, and patient experience. This role will partner closely with product, operations, and commercial leadership to scale a virtual care model that meets the growing national need for evidence-based treatment.

Birches Health is based in New York City, but the role is open to candidates in nearby Northeast states. Willingness to travel as needed is required.

What You’ll Do:

• Ownership of clinical strategy, clinical outcomes, and provider performance across all programs
• Lead and grow multidisciplinary clinical teams (W2 and 1099 providers)
• Develop and operationalize clinical pathways, protocols, and care models at scale
• Establish and manage clinical governance, outcomes measurement, quality, and compliance
• Build and refine data informed clinical processes to track performance, safety, and patient progress
• Partner with product and operations to optimize technology enabled care delivery and retention
• Build and maintain relationships with payors, health systems, and external clinical stakeholders
• Represent Birches as a clinical ambassador across the healthcare ecosystem
• Be an active, collaborative member of the executive team and contribute to long term strategy

Who You Are:

• 10+ years of progressive clinical leadership experience in behavioral health, addiction, psychiatry, psychology, or similar care models
• Experience creating, scaling, or managing virtual behavioral health programs
• Strong familiarity with payers, care delivery models, and value based care principles
• Proven ability to build and manage clinical teams, workflows, and operations
